What is lead generation and why is it important?
Lead generation is the process of using marketing tools and techniques to generate interest in your services from prospective customers. It's all about attracting visitors to your business, converting them into leads, and then into clients. The simple tactics we’ve chosen to focus on in our Growth Program are email and social media.
Why email? HubSpot reports that 99% of email users check their inboxes at least once a day. Emails reach the intended recipient and don’t fade away from newsfeeds like social media posts can. According to Demand Gen Report, 53% of marketers think email is the most effective channel for early-stage lead generation. Why social media? Per Statista, 84% of the US population was a member of at least one social media network in 2021. Social media is huge when it comes to reach and brand awareness. We recommend using email and social media together to launch your own lead generation process.
How to use the Growth Program
The Growth Program is currently divided into two categories: Retirement and Social Security. Within each topic, you will find templates for simple email funnels, social media copy, and social media images that can be uploaded with the copy. We developed this program to be easy to use and customizable for your practice. Use it as a starting point for your lead generation efforts and as inspiration for more content down the line.
Within each Growth Program kit are two sets of email templates. These templates are designed to kick-start your cold email funnel. An email funnel is a series of emails that guides a prospect through your sales process. We have created several email templates that can be used in two steps. The cold emails are intended to be the first-touch outreach to a prospect. For example, if you’ve collected email addresses from in-person events or through your website, send one of the first email templates to develop a relationship and share more information about your services. Then follow up with a template from the second set of emails. These emails are meant to be sent to a prospect you have already contacted via the cold email. A good timeline to start with is five days after your last email was sent, but feel free to adjust to what works for your practice.
Social media is a great place for lead generation because of the large number of prospective clients on the popular social media platforms. You can use sites like Facebook and Twitter to generate leads for your business without spending a ton of time or money.
Within the Growth Program kits are several social post templates which can be used on Facebook and/or Twitter. If you already have an ad account on Facebook or Twitter, feel free to use these as full ads. If you do not have an ad account, you can use these as social posts. All you need to do is upload a corresponding photo and add the copy to the top of the post.
